At Coffee Imp, we believe in the magic of coffee. It’s hard to believe that some hot bean-water can change your mood, lift you up and energize you for the day, but Coffee does just that! You don’t need to be a hipster or coffee connoisseur to love our master-roasted coffee beans; no matter what kind of brew you prefer, we likely have the roast for you.

When you order our beans, they are roasted to perfection and delivered to your home for the freshest experience imaginable. We don’t have a supply of roasted beans hanging around collecting dust. Every bag is roasted to order as soon as you place your purchase.

From the farm to your cup, our passion for coffee has no bounds. We believe in the importance of supporting local farmers and communities, and we source coffees directly from farms throughout the world. We start with the very best of beans, then we carefully roast them to bring out their unique flavor profiles. We roast in small batches, so each bag of Coffee Imp coffee has a unique taste and aroma.

Fair Trade Coffee

All coffee beans selected and sold by Coffee Imp are Fair Trade Certified which is why our coffee has a slightly higher price-point than some other brands. We feel it is important to support the farmers and families that grow and produce our coffee beans, with sustainable wages and better working conditions.

Could we charge less per bag? Absolutely – if you don’t mind people working for barely any pay in unsafe work environments so that you can save a few cents on your cup of coffee.

Roasted Fresh - Not Stale

One of the biggest differences of the Coffee Imp brand, is that we’re a private label, small batch roaster. That means we only roast exactly what you order, when you order it – ensuring the freshest possible coffee beans.

The big brands roast in bulk and their coffee can sit in trucks and shelves for weeks or months before you even buy it!

We don’t store or sell stale coffee. Ever.

Here’s a list of some questions that get asked frequently.
Where is the Coffee Imp Roastary located?
All orders are received and sent to the Coffee Imp Roasting facility in Ottawa Ontario, where it is said we have found a proprietary way to harness all the hot air from our Nation’s politicians, and use it to roast our beans.
Who does the Roasting?
We are fortunate enough to have partnered with a third generation Master Roaster who makes sure your order is roasted to his exacting standards and never burnt or stale.

Coffee Imp is the curator of the beans and flavours; the Master Roaster performs his magic and ensures they are prepared perfectly.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Your order typically ships the next business day, however we reserve the right to take an extra day to do the job well. We are also at the mercy of the Canada Post mail system of course.
